GPS Maze Adventure

Postby Calvertcachers » Tue Dec 29, 2009 12:58 pm

The GPS Maze Adventure opens in Maryland on February 20th!

We hope everyone will join us on February 20th at the Maryland Science Center, Baltimore Inner Harbor for this special occasion. The folks from Groundspeak and Minotaur Mazes will serve as our hosts. I'm sure they have a great event planned! Plus, you get to earn that special icon :D

There has to be somebody in this area that might be interested in a road trip to this. How about it? :D You never know about the weather then but we could deal with that when the time gets close. Sure would beat what we can do in this area for Caching in February

We're debating. So far that day we can either take a class at Lifelink or drive to Maryland.

Having a baby shower for my sister that day...otherwise this would be fun. We attended the maze in Rochester NY. Although we were not overly impressed with the maze, it was a fun trip to a town we wouldn't have otherwise gone too. Just love that about this sport. We have cached at Inner Harbor and there are great ones within walking distance of everything there. The lighthouse on the harbor is great...with a cache too. Philips has great seafood, but $$$. Definately go up the world trade tower and it is only $5...Have fun!

We're making plans to attend this event, which has to cost less than the $200 Lifelink course. (winter survival: after sleeping outside Jan 22 in 16 degree weather, I've had enough winter weather) We had hoped to head out Friday evening and stop at Hershey overnight, but instead have a BSA meeting Friday evening. So the current plan is to head out early Saturday - weather permitting, of course.

On another event, T played with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra on January 30 in Altoona and had to be there at 1:45. While we were glad to hear the orchestra, see the inside of the Mishler Theater, and learn of his ghost from the stage manager, we were very disappointed to miss all the festivities at Prospectors. It sounds like it was a fun and adventurous event.
