17 JUN 08

Ok everyone, sorry for the delay here. I've switched my computer to Linux, and haven't found gpx software that'll do what I need to run the list. Had to put software onto my wife's Windoze box...... anywhere, here's the current list:

Catch Me If You Can by e-r-h last found 22 APR 07. It's a 4/3 unknown cache. The last 5 logs are 4 founds and a note from the owner. Looks like everything's find with the cache, and someone just needs to get out there and find it. It's only 5.4 miles out.

Moshannon Falls Rafting Point Cache by k&p-shell Last found 30 JUN 07. 2 finds and 3 notes in the last 5 logs. This one is a 1/5, sounds like the hardest part is getting there, but it's likely a fun trip, canoe or kayak recommended as the easiest way there. 23.2 miles away.

Sam&Chloe's Trail by KIOTI Last found 12 AUG 07. This is a 1.5/2 traditional cache. 4 finds and a note from the owner in the last 5 logs. 33.8 miles out.

Again, sorry for the delay in the update, now go out and find some caches and make me do another update. :)

Thanks Warrior, now I know what I need to work on over the next few days... 5 days until I leave the country, look like it is caching time!

Hopefully Moe2 will get the third one on a Kayak trip down the river with Mr. Winger and Myself this coming Saturday. Depends on how hard it rains that day.

Yeah, I don't have a way of updating the list currently. Short of manually searching every listing......I never did find good software for Linux, and don't have Windoze on the computer at all anymore. If someone else wants to take over updating the list, feel free. When I was doing it, I used, I think, 2 PQ's to get all the caches within 50 miles of GCGE24. Then use software to sort by "last found" date. You just have to double check the ones that didn't have a find in the last 5 logs, by going online to so you can check older logs to see when the cache was last found. (Or, sometimes, the "date hidden" was newer than that last find of 3 other caches, so you could eliminate it that way, too.)

IV - I don't mind doing it if you don't mind the process changing a little. I can easily get the most lonesome from the 500 closest to GCGE24, which currently covers 32.6 miles out. The top three would be:

Low and Undesirable (GC106AA) last found on 8/12/08
Muddy Fj 3 (GC1FD4B) last found on 8/23/08
A Refreshing Stop (GC1CQY8) last found on 9/27/08

Here is one we were going to try and do this weekend, but fell through. It is in Waterford Pa, just south of Erie. The cache is called Isle of Mona GCPMHD and it was last found 2 years ago on August 12, 2007.
Guess I am gonna have to get at and get my kayak so I can go get this one.
